Long-Term

Three years ago when Methodist Specialty Care
Center opened, people used a lot of flattering phrases to describe the Mid
South’s first residential facility designed especially for the younger
severely disabled person. But “a place to call home” is the description
we like best.
Orthopedics
Methodist offers comprehensive orthopedic
services for people with a wide range musculoskeletal injuries. Our therapists
specialize in manual therapy, soft tissue mobilization and myofascial release
techniques to correct posture disorders, address soft tissue restrictions
and treat chronic pain.
Neurological

neuropsychologists work together to treat a wide range of neurological diseases
and disorders which can cause problems with movement, speech, swallowing,
breathing, learning, memory or mood.
Spinal Cord Injuries
A skilled team of physicians, researchers,
nurses and therapists familiar with every aspect of spinal cord injury work
together at Methodist to help patients achieve their highest level of independence.
